HS art students will post their new work at the end of each project (every 2-3 weeks) to get feedback from their peers and the public.
CRITIQUE PARTICIPATION RULES
I moderate all posts. If your comment is deemed inappropriate, IT WILL NOT BE POSTED, and you WILL NOT receive credit for your critique participation.
REMEMBER:
**Be as positive as possible. Try to think about how you would feel if what you want to say was said of you. If it can possibly be taken badly, even if that is not your intent- rethink it!
**Be specific and constructive. Do not just say “It is cool.” or “ I like it.” Say what is good about it specifically. Vague comments that have no though, will have no grade!
**Don’t take comments personally! Everyone has different tastes and no artist has ever made anything that everyone likes!! It is okay to be different- I ENCOURAGE IT!

Though this piece took a lot of work and I really like it... I think we both know you fizzled out at the end. Running out of ideas is a problem all artist face at some point, but the trick it to be constantly looking for inspiration, not only in the art world, but in life. I think you began to narrow your view and limit yourself so much to what you thought wire sculpture had to be that you ruled out several good possibilities. I think for your media focus next semester you should be more broad to begin with, then get more specific later.
