HS art students will post their new work at the end of each project (every 2-3 weeks) to get feedback from their peers and the public.
CRITIQUE PARTICIPATION RULES
I moderate all posts. If your comment is deemed inappropriate, IT WILL NOT BE POSTED, and you WILL NOT receive credit for your critique participation.
REMEMBER:
**Be as positive as possible. Try to think about how you would feel if what you want to say was said of you. If it can possibly be taken badly, even if that is not your intent- rethink it!
**Be specific and constructive. Do not just say “It is cool.” or “ I like it.” Say what is good about it specifically. Vague comments that have no though, will have no grade!
**Don’t take comments personally! Everyone has different tastes and no artist has ever made anything that everyone likes!! It is okay to be different- I ENCOURAGE IT!

this is really cool. the proportions are really good and the flower is really pretty!
i love the rose, it looks just like a real one...and the colors look really good together.
I really like your flower and the shading that you did from top to bottom they just seem to make the whole pic and how the rose is the main focus...nice work

This turned out good, I know the values were very difficult for you. You took a challenging composition. I think you found it was more detailed than it appeared. The rose turned out very nice! We have now found that you can draw and paint and next semester you need to focus on your own personal style and interests. It will be nice to see you taking some more chances and challenging yourself more :)
